What is enetation?
enetation is a play on words of annotation, the adding of remarks or comments
to something. The aim of enetation is to provide a system that allows users
that are not able to afford hosting or have the technical knowledge to install
scripting to have commenting on their website.
How does it work for me?
You have to sign up, goto the code generator page and copy and paste two
lines of code then your ready to go :)
Can I use it with any weblog?
Yes. Officially, we support the following weblogs
Blogger
Radio UserLand
Diary-X
Big Blog Tool
Scribble
Greymatter
However, enetation works on manually installed blogs if you want.
How much does it cost?
The basic enetation service is completely free. You can give us a nice donation,
and by doing that you are supporting the free users of enetation who may not
be in a position to pay for the service and also get a nice load of features

My comments appear at the bottom of my blog, not on each entry?
You need to place the code generated enetation code at the bottom of each entry
you post.
enetation refuses to recognise my username / password what shall I do?
Check you are logging in at enetation.CO.UK and have your cookies enabled then
try again.
Can I have multiple blogs running off one account?
This is not offered by enetation, if you wish to use this we suggest registering
another account.
When I comment the comments appear on each entry, I am using the 'manual'
option in the code generator?
You need to give each comment a new 'id' by making a new number instead of where
it says 'manual' in the code. Goto the code generator and re-read the instructions
for a more detailed guide.

I put the code on my blog, but it doesn't work!!
Well, here's what to do if it doesn't work.
1) Remove all the enetation code from your site.
2) Log in to enetation, click on "showcode" and carefully follow the
instructions again. Make sure you put the first line directly under the <head>
tag, on its own line. Next, put the second line between the <Blogger>
and </Blogger> tags etc.
3) add a new post to your blog.
If it still doesn't work, e-mail me
or post to the message board, describing exactly what the problem is (link not
showing up, specific error message, etc)., and I'll look into it.
I want to change the way the comments link looks( I don't like Comments[3]
)
You need to edit your enetation settings, so login and click 'settings'.
Can I get it in a language other than English?
Not as of yet, however we are looking for translators to join the team,
so if you're intersted please contact me.
Does it work with Browser XXXXXX ?
enetation has been tested on the following browsers:

Why is there a "delete" option next to the comments? Can everyone
see it?
No, not everyone can see it. If you're logged on the enetation site it plants a 'cookie' in your browser
so next time you view your own comments it knows its you. Therefore you have
admin controls for the comments , such as the 'delete' option.
Why is there a IP Address and "Ban User" next to the comments?

What type of support do you offer?

What hardware is enetation running off?
A core server (Athlon 1800 1Gb ram) runs the apache webserver that serves
the main website/forums with the master database. Three Athlon 1800's each with
a gig of ram act as slave servers delivering user.php data. At our current rate
of growth Enetation needs a new slave server every 6 to 8 weeks!
